solid cast using the lost wax method, this free standing votive statuette of Hercules would probably have been deposited in a sanctuary.  Shown naked, he stands with weight on his right leg, the left extended and slightly bent.  His right arm is raised and holding a club, his left arm is extended over which a lion skin is wrapped, his left hand is fisted.

Condition:  Intact and in superb condition, on custom stand.

Dimensions: Height without stand:  9 cm ( 3 1/2 in)

Provenance:  Private midwest collection, acquired from the trade in the early 1950s.
