What a truly beautiful piece!  An exceptional necklace with antique fine-link gold chain.  Three pairs of fine blue glazed faience scaraboids, one a faintly marked scarab, dangle from the necklace chain on either side of the central faience pendant.  From the lower two scaraboids, two smaller examples balance the effect beautifully.  The bright blue central stone is in a gold setting with two dangling scaraboid stones attached.

Condition:  The entire necklace is intact and in excellent condition.  The only sign of age is in the blue glaze of the individual scarabs that has worn thin in some places.  Designed to be worn, this is a most fetching piece with both antique and antiquity value.

Dimensions: Length: 16 inches (40.6 centimeters)

Provenance:  Ex Khyat collection, 1917.  Ex Parker Collection, 1944 thereafter private Californian collection, acquired from the trade in 1970 and then by descent.
