In Roman architecture three major orders of capitals were used; Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. This fragment comes from an example of the most elaborate, the Corinthian order. Three stylized acanthus leaves are carved in high relief to decorate this architectural fragment.

Condition: Fragment as described, piece intact and in very good condition, custom mounted.

Dimensions: height (with mount) 14 inches (35.6 centimeters), length 10 inches (25.4 centimeters)
